Valentine's Get Away || 2016

Saturday 20 February 2016

Hey guys, I hope you're all doing well. Welcome to my Valentine's get away!

First off, I wanted to apologise for not posting for the past week. I have been really tired and just attempting to get things done, therefore, I kind of put this to the side for a bit. Seeing as I enjoyed  my weekend so much, I thought I would share it with you guys.

My boyfriend and I headed over to the Novotel in Paddington for the weekend and oh my, it was the most relaxing weekend I have ever had. It was a mixture of swimming, sauna and steam room for the full weekend; we did not move from there. It was by far the most AMAZING feeling being able to wake up and go straight for a swim downstairs! There was also the gym, but I'd be lying if I were to say that we went there. We intended to, we definitely did, but the swimming pool was just more appealing to us. None the less it was a very small and cute gym, the sort you'd want to have at the bottom of your garden so you could enjoy whenever you'd like.  I snapped a photo of it, for you guys to see!

The swimming pool was not the only highlight of the weekend. I must say I can be really fussy when it comes to eating out, and for the first night we thought we would play it safe and just order some pizza (not that it was the healthier option), but, believe me, I soon came to regret that decision as the hotel food was SPLENDID! I've never tasted anything so mouthwatering and divine. So I snapped some shots of what we had for breakfast, what we ordered for dinner, which we picked out from the room service menu, seeing as we just wanted to head over to the pool a little while after. Therefore,  I found it pointless to put a full face of makeup on if we were staying inside, just to take it off a few moments after.

We ended up going down for breakfast a little late so the lady working behind the bar said she would go have a look for what they still had, and no less that 5 minutes later she popped round with a plate with amazing pastry goodies! Not to mention the amazing little jars of jam!!! LOVESTRUCK!

But moving on to the next meal, my boyfriend and I ordered some room service as I've mentioned above and once again... STUNNED! Both mine and the boyfriend's meals looked delicious! I couldn't believe it when we heard the knock on the door and he walked back into the room with this tray of yummers! I got myself a Spaghetti Carbonara with chicken pieces; for some reason my boyfriend found this odd, I don't know! On the other hand, he got a  BBQ chicken burger, with sweet potato fries and french calamari for a starter. Both dishes were very filling; writing about it is making my mouth water! So delicious!

Then on the day we left, we finished off with a wonderful ceaser salad which was just incredible. I can't emphasise enough how good this food was! I just know that I eventually asked if we could just drop in for a meal once in a while and they said that it is possible; so I definitely can not wait to go there again.

Lastly, throughout the weekend we would go down to the bar for a drink or two and of course, they were delicious; above is a pina colada, a Bombay... something, I can't quite remember the name and for the last one, I also can't remember the name of that one as my boyfriend ordered it. But to conclude, it is a hotel that is worth checking out be it with family, friends of your partner. You won't regret it.

Lots of Love, A .x
