My 2016 Travel Bucket List

Saturday 30 January 2016

Hey guys! Hope you're all well. And welcome to my 2016 travel bucket list.

There is nothing I have ever wanted to do more than to travel the world, now it's obviously easier said than done as life does get in the way, so if you ever get the chance to travel when you're not busy then don't think twice. Due to being in uni full-time and working part-time I don't really have much time to travel, however, I have made it a priority to go abroad at least twice this year as mentioned in my previous post. As I didn't go away last summer it was really different for me as it was, let's say, the first official time I stayed in the UK for the summer with my boyfriend. So without further ado, here is my 2016 travel bucket list.

1. Portugal.

Since I was little I would always go to Portugal in the summer to see my grandparents and other family members and it was always really fun and it has been two years that I haven't gone, so I am really looking forwards to going again in the summer. It always helps to know that you're going on a vacation and I know for a fact that I will be going to Portugal this summer for some family events so it is really exciting and I am super happy that I get to go back. Yet this year instead of going straight to where my grandparents live, my boyfriend, myself and our friends are looking to go to Algarve for a week or so and spend most of our days relaxing on the beach. Just got to get booking now!

2. Verona, Italy.

Yes! I'm talking about the same Verona Romeo and Juliet lived in! I had obviously heard about this place in the movie, however, it was only when I watched 'Letters to Juliet' that I fell in love with Verona. I love places with historical monuments and all that kind of stuff, so when I found out you could actually visit the house of Capulets, I went right on to writing it down on my '101 things to do before I die' bucket list. Wouldn't it be great to actually go there and experience something as beautiful as Verona? If not this year then maybe next year.

3. Venice, Italy.

Venice is somewhere I've always been intrigued about since I first watched 'The Italian Job'. There's water everywhere! I don't know about you but I'm super excited about that. Venice is somewhere I am definitely aiming to go this year. At the beginning of the year, I listed three places to go and presented it to my boyfriend. Without knowing why I listed those places to him he chose Venice, so I decided that this year we'd take a trip to Venice for a week throughout the spring/summer time! All I have to do now is book holidays off work, purchase the tickets and find a cute hotel. If anyone has any recommendations please tell me in the comments below, I would love to hear them.

3. South of France.

I find the South of France so beautiful in the winter with the snow and the blue water. I actually came to know about the South of France when I saw pictures from a friends holiday there and I was mesmerised by the beauty and just knew right away that I had to go there one day. I can imagine it would be amazing in the summer, however, I would really like to visit in the winter, so who knows, maybe this winter I'll be lucky enough to go!

4. Mykonos, Greece.

Maybe you're going to think this is a cliche holiday because everyone and their mother have been going there in the past few years, however, I would L-O-V-E to go to Mykonos. Everything is just so beautiful there, at least, that's what I've seen in pictures from other bloggers and that, so this would be, in my opinion,  a very interesting and relaxing holiday. This is, therefore, something I want to do either this year or next year! I guess I've just got to wait and see!

So that's all that's on my 2016 travel bucket list, hope you enjoyed it and I would love to know where you guys are looking to go this year, so make sure to leave a comment down below!

Lots of Love, A .x
